My GVSU Computer Science capstone team worked with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to develop an Android app. It provides information about the ingredients in products, mainly for avoiding allergies and irritants. The app integrated with a database of products registered with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).
I designed the UI based on the style of the web app and implemented the interface seen here. Users were able to search for products by:
- Searching by brand or name
- Scanning an item's barcode with their mobile camera
- Selecting one or more ingredients to find products that contain them
Other team members worked on the API connection and Google/Facebook sign on integrations.
