One problem I have when practicing songs I like to play on the guitar is that it is more fun to just quickly pull up the chords or tablature and get playing than to take the time to pull up the recording as well and try to listen to it as I play to make sure I remember the timing, etc. correctly.
To encourage myself to try to play along to recordings more often, I built a Chrome extension and tablature web scraper API. It lets you use YouTube music as the driver of which song you are practicing. The work of pulling up a list of tabs is done for you whenever you play a song.
